Jonathan J Bloom, Principal
Jonathan Bloom has over 20 years experience in the management, definition, design, development and marketing of
multidisciplined leading edge technical products. Most recently he was cofounder and Vice President Engineering of WIDAX Corporation, a developer of next generation Broadband Fixed Wireless Internet Access Systems.
Prior to Widax he founded NetPlus Technology, Inc. a developer of network based software and provider of engineering and management consulting services. He has guided semiconductor equipment manufacturers in the development of innovative, world-class equipment. This includes the development of Flat Panel Steppers, Ion Implanters, Stencil Printers, Fluid Dispensing equipment and BGA Array assembly equipment.
From 1988 to 1994
at Interactive Video Systems, Inc., Mr. Bloom, in his capacity as the Vice
President of Engineering, oversaw a team of electrical, mechanical, optical and
software engineers. His team
developed both Optical and Scanning Electron Microscope based Wafer Metrology
Tools used in the semiconductor industry. While
with the company, he was responsible for merging and restructuring an
acquisition into the parent organization.
From 1980 to
1987 at Interaction Systems, Inc. Mr. Bloom served in several capacities for
this developer and manufacturer of touch screen technology.
As Vice President of Product Development, Mr. Bloom was awarded a patent
in touch screen technology and directed the design of a family of new products
built on the company's proprietary technology.
Prior to directing engineering, he managed the marketing and sales effort
and developed the company strategy to focus on the touch sensor component
market.
Mr. Bloom
began his career in 1978 as a Software Engineer at Raytheon Company and later
moved to Computer Devices, Inc. He
received a BA and MA from Brandeis University.
